Waldorf High School is a place where individuals fit right in. Here, independence is encouraged and individualism prized. Within our walls, students feel secure and know they are uniquely respected. Our teachers know each student well, and students form a close and supportive circle for one another.
Every student has a faculty advisor who provides academic, social, and personal support through all four years. Each grade enjoys the guidance of a sponsor who leads the homeroom and meets with them to plan activities as a group. As the season of college applications approaches, our college counselor works with juniors and seniors to navigate the steps toward selecting and attending the college of their choice. At Waldorf, no one is overlooked; no one receives less than our full attention and appreciation.
Our Student Council Shared Values Statement is:
In our school, we value an environment that is friendly, open, and relaxed. We believe that everyone, in all grades, has worth and something valuable to add to our community and that each person should feel comfortable to speak up knowing that he/she will not be unfairly judged, receiving respect for his/her contributions. We value an environment where no one has to compromise oneself because of peer pressure or manipulation, where students can express their individuality within the school guidelines, and where it is acceptable to support our school and value our academic standards. We value a diverse environment where everyone has equal opportunity and is safe from social harassment, which includes teasing and bullying, sexual harassment, and violence.
