How to Survive Adolescence in a Media-filled World!

Teenagers today face challenges unknown before. They are inundated with media wherever they are. Parents are confronted with constant decision making regarding ipods, cell phones, text messaging, social neteworking, video games and whatever else is on the horizon.

In a public talk for parents of teenagers, on Wednesday, January 20 at 7:30 pm, at Waldorf High School, Betty Staley will explore with parents ways to understand teenagers' releationship to media and how they can be the masters of it rather than being mastered by it.

This talk, sponsored by Waldorf High School Parent Teacher Organization, is open to the public.

Betty Staley has been an educator for forty years. She mentors many Waldorf high schools, lectures world-wide on adolesence and education, and has authored seven books. Having been a founding and lead teacher at the Sacramento Waldorf High School, Betty directs teacher education programs through Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, California for Waldorf schools and Waldorf-inspired public schools, and for teachers of at-risk students and juvenile offenders. Betty leads workshops for public, parochial and home school teachers.

Betty mentored the founding and development of Waldorf High School, directed our teachers' Waldorf High School certification, continues to support and promote our school and is on Waldorf High School's Advisory Board.
