Alumni came back to school on February 5 to speak with Waldorf High School students to inspire and advise them and answer questions about life after Waldorf.

Ann Dudley-Marling (2001) graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Psychology. She is currently working on her masters in Developmental Psychology and coordinating a National Institute of Heath research project.

Dave Shulman (2004) graduated from Union College in 2008 with a B.S. in Biology, and volunteered for Partners in Health in Malawi for a year before enrolling at Harvard Medical School.

Trevor Ruggiero (2004) worked in Australia and traveled for a year before enrolling at Northeastern University where he will graduate from this May with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He recently led the winning team in their capstone project which designed and built equipment to look at living cells under pressure through a microscope. Trevor has a job with an engineering firm awaiting him when he graduates.

Ann, Dave and Trevor shared what they most appreciated about their Waldorf High School education: the diversity of experiences, from sports, to music, art and the academics. Dave mentioned how he makes mini main lesson books to study for anatomy. Trevor found that he was very prepared to really dig into the work when he went to college. He thinks this was the most important key to his success. Ann talked about how easily she was able to communicate with her professors because of the teacher relationships that are encouraged here at Waldorf.

We are proud of our graduates and their ready willingness to come back to visit and share their stories with all of us. In the future we are planning to have an alumni panel evening for our parents and prospective parents.
