Jonah Palmer ‘16 recently graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a degree in Industrial Design. This summer he will be interning at Dexai Robotics in Somerville working on food preparation robots. This past semester he participated in the MIT/RISD dual studio where he worked with a team on a medical device to assist professionals and those without any experience perform chest compressions during cardiac arrest. Jonah says that Waldorf High School prepared him for the long form study that is more common in a college education setting and gave him the creative skills needed to adapt to projects no matter the subject or skill set required.
Additionally, it allowed him to be ahead of his peers when bringing creativity into non traditional art settings. He continues on to say that his education and experience at Waldorf High School gave him team building skills that he feels would have been lacking if he had gone to another school. We are proud of Jonah Palmer and the work that he has done and will continue to do. We look forward to hearing more in the years to come!
