Spotlight: Optics Main Lesson

In the Optics main lesson the 12th grade began exploring the mysteries of light by experiencing total darkness, and moved on to studying pinhole projections, prisms, color filters, and the electromagnetic spectrum. After building spectroscopes and looking at spectra of various light sources, they delved into making sense of the sharp narrow lines of spectra from gas atoms, which led into the bizarre world of quantum physics.
