Students Brew Farm & Wilderness Tea

On the Friday before break students in the Farming & Forestry Program conducted a taste test of four different teas that they brewed from herbs they grew and pine needles they collected at Codman Community Farms. The four teas were Rosemary Thyme, Thyme Mint Pine, Pine & Rosemary Mint. The tea made from pine needles won with the thyme-mint-pine tea coming in a close second. Guided by the principles of food sovereignty, Dr. Bellwood, our Farming teacher, is working to build relationships between our students and the land and between food providers and those who consume it.
