As the year comes to an end, we not only say goodbye to our seniors but also to two exchange students Dorka Becze and Gero Grunberger. Dorka is returning to her home in Hungary and Gero is heading home to Vienna. Before Dorka left I had a chance to speak with her about her two months at Waldorf High School. Dorka loved the small and inclusive community and described her classmates as loving and cheerful.
When asked about any highlights of her time at Waldorf High School she said she couldn’t highlight one favorite moment as she had so many great experiences and loved them all. She says that she is grateful to all and will never forget her time here. We are grateful to Dorka and Gero for leaving their homes and their communities to come here to Waldorf High School to study with us this spring. You both integrated seamlessly into our school community and added an important international perspective to our learning. As we said goodbye to both of you the common refrain from the students was: We feel they have been here with us forever.
