We are excited to be partnering with the Audubon Habitat wildlife sanctuary in Belmont for the fall of 2020. We are offering two outdoor electives - Fall Ecology and Wilderness Skills - that will be taught by educators from Habitat. Additionally, our other classes have the opportunity to use the wildlife sanctuary for a variety of outdoor learning experiences.
The 9th and 10th graders had outdoor lessons in local Native American history and culture from a guest Native teacher.
The 12th graders studied creatures living in different Habitat ecosystems as part of their Zoology and Evolution main lesson.
The 11th and 12th graders gathered natural materials from plants at Habitat and explored their chemical properties by crushing, blending, purifying, infusing, and distilling their materials in their Nature of Matter main lesson.
